Isobel Wykes Powers GB Women to European Bronze!

Truro Runner and Mud Crew Ultra Team member Isobel Wykes returns from Turin this week with a European bronze medal in her clutches. Representing Great Britain along with Debbie Martin-Consani and Sharon Law, Isobel led the GB ladies to fourth overall in the IAU World 24hr Championships, and third in the European Championships, both events taking place concurrently. Falmouth Half Marathon: Mike Birchmore Hat-trick and Emma Schuck Makes It Two In A Row

Conditions were great for the Falmouth Half Marathon yesterday, as 400+ runners took part on the hilly course. Mike Birchmore (Newquay RR) returned to win the men’s race for the third straight year, only just holding off Colin Snook (CAC) in a PB time of 1:13:53. Colin’s club-mate Ash Chambers pushed the pace in the early part of the race, and held on to complete the podium with Hayle’s Jordan Morant in fourth. Cornwall Fire & Rescue Half

Mike Birchmore and Rebecca Ezra Win in Muddy Conditions Despite challenging conditions, there was a record turnout for yesterday’s Cornwall Fire & Rescue Half Marathon in Bodmin. Over 300 battled through rain and mud with some cracking times being set at the front of the field. Penrose parkrun Update and Call For Volunteers!

Penrose (Helston) parkrun Update Penrose parkrun now has a start date, Saturday 28th March, the day before An Res Hellys. The course is more or less finalised, and will centre around the far end of the Penrose estate, starting and finishing near the Stables Cafe. Arc of Attrition Finishers

The Arc of Attrition certainly lived up to its name this weekend, with only 33 of the 54 entrants completing the race. Steve Wyatt (At Your Pace) and Duncan Oakes (Mud Crew Ultra Team) crossed the line together to win in 22:48, with Charlie Ramsdale (At Your Pace) winning for the ladies.
