Emma Stepto to join GB Elite in London

Emma Stepto joins a trio of GB ladies in the elite field at this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon. Along with Amy Whitehead and Gemma Steel (running her debut marathon), Emma will toe the line with marathon superstars including last year’s winner Priscah Jeptoo. Moresk Forest Run announced (Truro – Sunday 16th February)

It seems hardly five minutes since the last informal trail run was announced (see this morning’s post about the Carrick Cracker), when along comes another! Today Truro Running Club and PB Running announce the Moresk Forest Run, a 5.4 mile multi-terrain event, also on Sunday February 16th.  This is another low-key, informal ‘race’ with the emphasis on muddy fun. Get your trail shoes on — Carrick Cracker is back!

Falmouth Road Runners‘ infamous ‘stagger’ round the trails, lanes, paths, and fields around Falmouth, the Carrick Cracker, will be back on Sunday February 16th. This is a very informal multi-terrain event with no medals or prizes; entrants will be provided with a map and instructions, and limited marshaling. Storm Force 10 – Emma Stepto steps up a gear

Emma Stepto‘s performance was the main talking point at yesterday’s Storm Force 10 race in Camborne. Finishing second overall, and beating her own ladies course record by over a minute in 56:09, she laid down a marker in the run up to the Virgin London Marathon in April. parkrun comes to Cornwall!

Enthusiastic parkrunners turned out in force to welcome parkrun to Cornwall, as almost 150 attended Lanhydrock House this morning. Runners of all ages came to enjoy the beautiful grounds and challenging course, left muddy by the recent rain. Included among them were several Cani-Cross runners, two of whom took out the male and female wins in difficult conditions.
