Adventure racing returns to Cornwall! Hot on the muddy heels of obstacle races Rock Solid and Tuff Enough comes the latest offering KERNOW KILLER, organised by Cornwall Sports Events.
In just over a month (Sunday 2nd November), participants will be set off on a punishing trail with over 30 assault-course style obstacles spread over a distance of 14.6km of the 400 acres of Chyverton Park Country Estate parkland (near Truro). Judging from the recce photos, there will be plenty of mud and water in the mix too!
Organisers have teamed up with Vfit, who are running a set of bootcamps to prepare runners for the event, and the Kernow Killer website features a training plan. Both will throw some upper body training at you, as this will help you over some of the obstacles!
As with many adventure races, competitors are sent off in waves, starting at 9.30am. Organisers have offered to try and keep people together in the same wave, if they get in touch after registration. Another way to achieve that, and save some money, is to book as a team of four; individual entry costs £30, but teams of four can enter for £100.
