Emma Stepto joins a trio of GB ladies in the elite field at this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon. Along with Amy Whitehead and Gemma Steel (running her debut marathon), Emma will toe the line with marathon superstars including last year’s winner Priscah Jeptoo.

Emma will be aiming for a sub-2:35 Commonwealth Games qualifying time, and will be mindful of fellow Brit, Louise Damen, who ran 2:32:21 to finish 9th at the Osaka Women’s Marathon last Sunday.

Emma’s next outing will be the Marazion 10k this Sunday, where she will be aiming to retain her title, and improve on last year’s 34:35 finish.
